Original Package Tasting License

A licensee that is licensed to sell intoxicating liquor in the original package may also obtain a tasting license which allows the licensee to conduct wine, malt beverage and distilled spirit tastings on the licensed premises.
Sunday License (Spirits, Wine and/or Beer)

You may obtain a license to sell intoxicating liquor between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. Five Percent Beer licensees can sell on Sunday without a secondary license.

Extended Hours Permit - Kansas City, North Kansas City, Jackson County

Primary Retail by Drink licensees may qualify for a license to remain open past the normal hours of operation under certain circumstances. This permit allows Retail by Drink licensees to remain open on each day of the week until 3:00 a.m. of the morning of the following day in Kansas City, North Kansas City and Jackson County.

Extended Hours – St. Louis / Kansas City International Airports

Primary Retail by Drink licensees may qualify for a license to remain open past the normal hours of operation under certain circumstances. This permit allows a retailer located in the Lambert St. Louis / Kansas City International Airports to apply for a special permit. The permit shall allow the premises to open at 4 a.m. and sell intoxicating liquor by the drink at retail for consumption on the premises where sold.

Primary Retail by Drink licensees may qualify for a license to remain open past the normal hours of operation under certain circumstances. This permit allows Retail by Drink licensees to remain open on each day of the week until 3:00 a.m. of the morning of the following day in St. Louis City. Licensees must be located in a convention trade area and meet one of the following conditions:
- The business establishment's annual gross sales for the year immediately preceding the application for extended hours equals $150,000 or more; or
- The business is a resort. For purposes of this section, a "resort" is defined as any establishment having at least 60 rooms for the overnight accommodation of transient guests and having a restaurant located on the premises.

Extended Hours Permit - Lake of the Ozarks
Required Documents
Primary Retail by Drink licensees may qualify for a license to remain open past the normal hours of operation under certain circumstances. This permit allows Retail by Drink licensees to remain open on each day of the week until 3:00 a.m. of the morning of the following day in Miller, Morgan and Camden Counties.
Note: St. Louis County is in this section, but has not been designated as a convention trade area, and thus licensees in St. Louis County may not qualify for the 3:00 a.m. license.
The applicant shall meet all of the following conditions: (Miller, Morgan, Camden)
- The business establishment's annual gross sales for the year immediately preceding the application for extended hours equals $100,000 or more;
- The business is a resort. For purposes of this subsection, a "resort" is defined as any establishment having at least 75 rooms for the overnight accommodation of transient guests, having at least 3,000 square feet of meeting space and having a restaurant located on the premises; and
- The applicant shall develop, and if granted a special permit shall implement, a plan ensuring that between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. no sale of intoxicating liquor shall be made except to guests with overnight accommodations at the licensee's resort. The plan shall be subject to approval by the supervisor of liquor control and shall provide a practical method for the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control and other law enforcement agencies to enforce the provisions of Subsection 3 of this section.

Primary Retail by Drink licensees may qualify for a license to remain open past the normal hours of operation under certain circumstances. This permit allows Retail by Drink licensees to remain open on each day of the week until 3:00 a.m. of the morning of the following day by licensees who are licensed to sell intoxicating liquor by the drink at retail for consumption in a common eating and drinking area, and who are located in an area designated as a convention trade area by the governing body of the county or city.

Primary Retail by Drink licensees may qualify for a license to remain open past the normal hours of operation under certain circumstances. This permit allows a building in Kansas City that has been designated as a National Historic Landmark by the United States Department of the Interior to remain open on each day of the week until 6:00 a.m. of the morning of the following day.

Extended Hours - One-Day Permit - Kansas City Only
Primary Retail by Drink licensees may qualify for a license to remain open past the normal hours of operation under certain circumstances. A special permit may be issued to allow the licensed premises located in Kansas City to sell intoxicating liquor from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 a.m. on the morning of the following day within one 24 hour period. Any person granted a special permit under this section shall only be authorized to receive up to six such special permits from the city in a calendar year.
